First Grade Academic Specialist

Teaching brings such joy and happiness to my life!  Since the moment I first stepped foot on Peninsula Heritage School, I knew it was truly a special place to be so I feel extremely fortunate to be teaching Math and Language Arts to the curious First Grade minds in our Primary Center.  I believe that all students are unique and special in their own way.  I provide a loving and caring environment where I strive to motivate, inspire, and encourage students in order to educate them socially, emotionally, and cognitively so that they can continue to build a foundation for life-long learning.

I am a Palos Verdes native.  After receiving my BA in Psychology at California State University, Long Beach, I knew that my passion lied in working with children.  I then received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and began a fulfilling fifteen-year teaching career for Wiseburn School District.  When my children were both of school age, I stepped away from the classroom to stay home full-time, but now that they are both in high school, I am thrilled to be back in the classroom!  I also hold  a Masters degree in Teaching Curriculum and a Language and Academic Development Certificate.

I currently reside in Rolling Hills Estates with my husband, two teenage daughters, and our Golden Retriever.  Outside teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, and traveling.
