Music

I have had the pleasure of teaching music at Peninsula Heritage School since 2006, and could not think of a more fun way to spend my week. Whether it’s hitting things, blowing things, or strumming ukuleles, our music room has happily earned the title of “noisiest room” at PHS.

In addition to my work with PHS, I teach private piano lessons in the South Bay, and am also busy as a keyboard player and occasional music director for various theater productions. I also enjoy playing piano for the Foghorn Swing Band in Long Beach. I studied music at Oklahoma Baptist University and California State University Dominguez Hills, and have also received a degree in Organizational Leadership from Biola University. In recent years, I have had the opportunity to work on humanitarian teams in Uganda and plan to continue in that work.

I live in Torrance with my beautiful grown daughter, who wishes she could be a child again and attend PHS.
