Sixth Grade Teacher

Teaching has brought an immeasurable amount of joy and happiness to my life. I believe every child is gifted and talented in their own way and it is an honor to guide them in achieving their full academic potential. I strive to teach the whole child not only cognitively, but socially, physically, and emotionally as well. As a 6th grade teacher, my students and I have the opportunity to discover ancient civilizations that ruled our Earth thousands of years ago and devour literature that will expose us to complex and mesmerizing characters.

I’ve taught for many years in the Redondo Beach Unified and Palo Alto Unified School Districts where I served onvarious committees including schoolleadership, textbook adoption, and Program Quality Review teams. I also have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Language Development Specialist certificate. I amtrained in Lindamood Bell and recently became a Cogmed Working Memory coach.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jim, and my two daughters. I love to travel, cook, and am currently learning the game of golf…but I think that will be a life long challenge!
