Watching my students thrive in the light of knowledge is one of my greatest joys. With over twenty-five years of experience in education, I still look forward with great anticipation to every September and the promise it brings. Giving my students opportunities to expand their skill acquisition through creative alternatives, while maintaining a high academic standard, is my constant endeavor in the classroom. My objectives are simple: inspire, explore possibilities, and employ acquired knowledge with joy and vigor. I possess a great love for the arts and pride myself in my ability to incorporate my talents within our academic curriculum. Continually striving to challenge myself, I expect no less from my students.

After receiving my education from Cal State Long Beach, I have taught in both public and private school settings; instructing children from preschool through sixth grade. In addition to my formal education, I regularly attend conferences to study and execute differentiated instruction practices within the classroom.

I currently live in Long Beach with my husband, my two talented daughters, and my beloved Australian shepherd and cattle dogs. In addition to teaching, I enjoy all that life has to offer. “History vacations,” attending the theatre, communing with nature, reading, and utilizing my creative talents are all activities that nurture my well-being.
